Abstract

Business competition is influenced not only by economic dynamics and technological development but also by ideology and religion, which shape values, ethics, and regulatory frameworks within the business environment. Ideology serves as the foundation for economic policies and regulatory approaches that determine patterns of market competition, while religion provides ethical principles that promote honesty, fairness, integrity, and social responsibility in business practices. This study examines the influence of ideology and religion on business competition at both global and local levels. The findings indicate that ideology directs a nation’s economic policy orientation, whereas religious values reinforce sustainable and ethical business behavior. The interaction between these two elements creates a complex dynamic that may foster healthy competition or generate challenges when ideological principles and religious teachings conflict with market demands. This study highlights the importance of harmonizing ideological values and religious ethics to create fair, equitable, and socially responsible business competition.
